Powell Valley Primary School, Powell Valley Middle School, and Powell Valley High School will be in session on Saturday, April 19, 2008, to make-up the day missed due to the tornado (Wednesday, March 5th).
The school day for students will be 8:30am to 12 noon.
The school day for faculty & staff will be 8:00am to 12:30pm.
I'm not affected by this, but if I had a vote, I probably wouldn't have them make that day up. I'd say attendance will be "wonderful" on this day.

they dont have to go a full day? how can this be make-up day then if 7 hours are not completed like a normal full day?
and if this was going to happen why not let the rest fot he county out at 1230 one day and make pv go a full day?

Maybe they should start making up those days you only got for 2-3 hours and leave because of snow too then.

You only have to go for a certain amount of hours for it to be credited as a full day. It's not like they were at the park at a picnic, there was a damn tornado. I'm sure they'd have rather been at school than trying to find their belongings a mile down the road. Chill the [censored] out. What's bs is that they even have to make the day up.

Make-up days are usually only a half day.

They shouldn't even have to make it up in the first place.

Since when?...Im pretty sure you have to be there till 1230 for it to count for a full day
